Ex-batt Chick

Whooo.....more ex-batts arriving

Recommended Posts

I haven't posted on here very often, only the usual introduction posts, but I do find the forum a really good source of information. I just don't have enough hours in the day to post more regularly!!!!

I've got to share my excitment with someone, and people who don't keep chickens just don't seem to understand it. I'm getting 4 new ex-batts on Saturday and I can't wait, neither can the children and my husband.

My four original girls, Clover, Nettie, Buttercup and Violet who came to us on 20th Nov are going to move into the new purple cube (got a good deal at Christmas and have been saving for a year for this). The new girls, Bluebelle, Blossom, Fern and Pandora are going in the eglu and I hope they settle in as quickly as the others did. Had a bit of a scare in the week, Violet was poorly and passed a couple of soft eggs and then had very runny poos but she seems ok now. Thanks so much to Barbara at Omlet for her advice.

8 chooks, am I mad? Or is this love of our feathered friends quite normal. We've even started talking about walk in runs etc !!!!!
