I think those underwater hospitals by you might be different from our local hospital then. DH was doing something stupid with a Stanley knife a few months ago and cut through the web bit between his thumb and forefinger. Like you, blood spurted everywhere. He's not as brave as you though and when I came home from work (in a hospital) I had to drive him off to the nearest A&E while he held his hand in the air and looked pale. After I had cut my thumb I sent this email to the company: I recently purchased some of your 3 function v brake blocks and I am very impressed about their performance. But, they are secured to the cardboard packaging by cable ties which are quite difficult to remove.Yesterday, I was removing the cable ties by using a knife, when after applying pressure to try and cut/break the cable ties off, my hand slipped and the knife went into my thumb, slicing it open. This injury later required gluing back together as well as some stitches. To prevent this from happening to anyone else (or me again) would you consider using a different method of securing the brake blocks to the cardboard packaging? Something that is easier to remove than cable ties. Today I got a reply: Sorry for late response….I just been too busy and to be honest this kept going to the back of the queue. 1st of all thanks for using Ashima product and glad to hear the performance meet your expectations and apologies for the sliced finger. The reality is we’d also like to move away from the cable ties as they take a lot of time to fix the product to the card and after 1,000’s of cards can be aggressive on our worker fingers. We actually offer shrink wrapped and blister packed products but most customers prefer to touch the product and therefore the take-up for the other packaging is very low. I find the safest/best way to cut the cable ties is with some scissors or some little cable cutters…..and following your complaint we’ll start adding this recommendation to the cards to prevent further injuries to our customers.
