Newbie-Townie needs eglu in sloping garden advice

Recommended Posts

Hi

we finally did it, after many weeks of soul and then internet searching, bought a second hand eglu and are now waiting for our home delivery of 3 chickens and chicken extras to arrive early March.

What we really need advice on is where or how to site the eglu classic. We have an (approx) 6x10 metre grassed area, fairly uniform but sloping downhill.

Happy to hear about and successes or failures or other wisdom about siting a chicken eglu in a sloping garden

Thanks

Bristol Bea

Welcome to the forum :D . I'm sure there have been a couple of forum members with sloping gardens  . I don't think the slope is too much of an issue, more how level the ground is. As long as it sits level so nothing can dig under the run/eglu, it should be OK.

Any chance of a photo of your garden? Often people can offer advice if it's similar to their setup :) .
