Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Anyone done this? We've missed a couple of episodes of a series which we'd like to watch on iPlayer but not huddle round the laptop . How easy is it and what cables would you need?

Easy

Depending on your telly and laptop though, I guess

 

If its HD and your laptop has one, the easiest will be a HDMI cable.

Your telly may also have a VGA cable (same as projectors use with laptops at school).

 

If not have you got a Wii or PS3?

Thanks, Lewis . The TV's not HD (it's a few years old) but I think I've got a VGA socket on the laptop - hope it's now just a case of getting round the back of the TV to see if there's a compatible socket and finding a cable .

You may find you want cables for the sound too - in a large room it may be diff to hear from the laptop speakers alone. We used to leave a spare set of cables plugged into the back of the tv just for laptop (vga and sound) as it's fiddly just for a one off.

Checked my TV and it only seems to have the round pin socket which my laptop doesn't have .

We use the Wii if we want to watch something back on the TV. Do you have one?

No, it's an S-Video port (I think, it's a bit hard to see as it's close to a wall!)

 

Don't have a Wii or PS3 (got a PS2 though).
