chickenNutter
Before I subject her to what most be the most revolting smell ever thought up by man, smells like concentrated nicotine/cigarette stubs, can you wash Ukadex off, or am I subjecting my pure white silkie to looking the same colour as a pub ceiling until she next moults (which may be some time as she is only 5 months)? Don't know whether to use it or not - the bullies are not drawing blood with their pecking, just chasing her into the eglu or a corner for the entire day. This experience has definitely rid me of my Morehens disease Thoughts anyone?
coco
Ukadex does wear off after a week or so but it won't stop the bullying. could you maybe section part of the run of so she could live with a friend but the others can't get to her. chickenNutter
Thanks Coco, When you say it wears off, is that just the smell/effect, or the colour too? And off a white hen?!? I have separated the WIR, and they have been there for nearly 4 weeks, but it only leaves them with a very small space, so I was wanting to try to get them integrated, I just don't want a permenantly brown silkie! jimnpaula
The smell wears off after about a week, the colour lasts much longer but I don't know how long. Lets just say that I can't remember when I sprayed Pearl and she's still mottled purple and brown on her wings. P

oneyolktoanother
it did work with ours, but it does stink when we sprayed our white hen it tainted her feathers quite bad six months later and she is a creamy brown colour
