Poo question - Advice needed please...

Recommended Posts

Hi

Flo who is now 2 and just coming out of a moult has, for the last few days been pooing like, well....it looks like cottage cheese.. :vom: She hasn't really done what I call a good poo, just water really (and the aforementioned cottage cheese). This morning she was vocal, alert, eating, but also drinking a bit more than usual. She has always eaten grapes, but the last couple of days, she is so eager to get them, she nearly rips it out of my hand, which she never usually does, she is such a sweet gentle taker of food.

We haven't had any eggs from her for several weeks, which I put down to the partial moult (feathers went from her comb and round her face, but are now coming back), she seems a big bigger than normal all round really.

She doesn't scoff down all her food, just wet squishy food. She is eating her layers mash as and when, as it is available all day long.

I'm thinking she might have something wrong with her kidneys?????

Can anyone help please, as I am worried.

She was wormed with Flub at the beginning of January along with her sister Gloria (Gloria is OK).

She is such a sensitive chook and I am not sure that a trip to the vet's wouldn't finish her off tbh!

Yes both Gloria and Flo were wormed in January with Flubenvet.

This morning Flo is as bright and perky as she ever is. Eating, rootling about, so I suppose I should just keep an eye on her to see if she carries on like that, unless anyone thinks I am missing something vital.

Have bought some Bokashi Bran to add a bit to their food to see if that helps - is that OK to do?

And today I have noticed that her legs and feet are a lot more yellow than they have been - AND soo many feathers are coming out of her now - is she in a moult?

Nearly 2 years in and still learning.
