I was just wondering if any of you had ever won one of those prizes inside a food product?

 

You know like the prize at the bottom of a tub of spread or a £20.00 note in a pack of noodles or gold lid inside a can of beans? I have never been lucky in that respect and just wondered if any one has eaten that bag of lucky crisps??

I got a £1 cheque from a packet of Walker's crisps, with Gary Linekar's signature on it. Still got it somewhere

 

I had a complete set of Magic Roundabout figurines from cereals in the late 60's/early 70's, they were great (or should that be groovy!) I sold them on ebay a few years ago for over a fiver .

Like the little scuba diver that went up and down in the water filled Tizer bottle when you screwed the bottle top on and off. I think it came in a Corn Flakes packet, but that was a very long time ago.

I used to love the little plastic aliens that came in Rice Krispies packets, they were ace, got loads of them somewhere ... !!!

I had a job for two summers at Nabisco...(home of Shredded Wheat and Shreddies) and on the odd time I was on the collaters putting in these free gifts into the packs as they whizzed by to the gluer (not often as it was an easy job and rank was pulled) I always put extra in hoping some little kiddie would get a nice surprise Sometimes if you put too many in the weight checker would blow the pack off the conveyor

When I was a kid I once opened a box of cornflakes where the machine must have had a glitch - there were about a dozen plastic 'gifts' and hardly any cornflakes - I was thrilled, mum less so
