no1smiles2000
hi everyone my 2 bigger girls died one today/last night & one last sunday. should i be worried? They seemed fine & one of my four had started laying again. I rescued them 2 yrs ago Only thing i can think of is there has been a rat sniffing around, but he's dead now could that be the cause? or maybe they were just tired out? Tweety
Hi, sorry to hear about your girls. It is difficult to comment without a bit more information about the circumstances in which they died, how you found them, their state of health etc. It is probably just coincidence that they died when they did, and 2 years from rescue is a good time for ex batts to live in my experience. Do you have any reason to think it was anything other than old age?
Ain't Nobody Here
Sorry to hear that . Two of my oldest girls died within exactly 2 weeks of each other . Nothing obviously sinister, so I just put it down to old age.

Patricia W
If they were rescued then it's likely they are more likely 3 - 4 years old - which is a good age for hybrids.
