Any pics please of Omlet Fencing in Situ

Recommended Posts

When we had the previous fencing, before we attached pea netting because the lawn was being seeded, Mildred used to jump onto the top of the 1.5 metre high fence, wobble back and forth for a bit and then jump into the garden. She would peck about and then jump back. She managed to do it the other day too while we were working on the new fence. I think Heidi will deter her a bit although she is pretty fearless and the biggest bully I have. It doesnt matter too much really.

Is the new type of netting easy for one person to move around?

I've got the 25 metre old style of netting and can just about roll it up, move it and unroll it again. I would like some to the new style of netting but this time I need the 50 metre roll to make a larger area for free ranging.

OH says it will be easier to put in fence posts and chicken wire the area but then the Chickens would be confined to just one part of the garden. I would like them to have fresh areas of the garden to destroy now and again :D

The fencing we have just put in place is very easy to move around...separate panels of crowd control barriers with plastic mesh attached...it is so light...my girls wont be moved around but if we move house we can take it with us...I will post pics as soon as garden sorted...it is currently having a makeover. We had posts with mesh attached before and it started to break.

Ive just set up my fencing across the bottom third of my garden in a fairly straight line between fences. Ive gone against the instructions and put the gate halfway along the fencing. I rang Omlet to ask if this could be done before I did it and they said it was OK to do. Basically you have to cut the netting and make a minor adjustment but it is possible.

Will post photos soon.
