Any pics please of Omlet Fencing in Situ

Recommended Posts

Hi :D

Does anyone have the new Omlet fencing with the gate?

I need to replac the current fencing around my free ranging area and am wondering if the Omlet fencing will do a good job.

If anyone has a photo they could post showing the Omlet fencing in situ that would be great :D

Thank you

I too have it - mine has not been put up 'properly' yet, need to stretch it out & straighten etc but will take a picture for you if you like. One of my hens is a real Mrs Adventurer & has jumped out though already. The net hangs a bit in between poles so I am going to put taut string along the top & tie the netting up a little bit.

I've moved my fencing today & have to say it was quite easy to do, but unfortunately one of the spikes has broken (we've already had one replaced). I have also solved the sagging by stringing some rope taughtly between the poles & tying the netting up to it. Overall though quite pleased.

Decided on new fencing...crowd control barriers...or as I have renamed them...chicken control barriers  we will attach the netting/fencing we already have to them and use tent pegs so none of the girls can escape underneath...love to recycle 8) We need something more robust because occasionally Heidi lunges at the fencing because she wants to play with the girls...I am hoping the chicken control barriers will do the job

We are landscaping the garden at Easter...I am  the weather will be good as Mr Snox has two weeks off :dance:

Chicken control barriers are now in place after 1.5 days digging out all the manure...I am very pleased with them...I know they wouldn't be everyones cup of tea but they are just perfect for keeping my girls in and Heidi out :clap::lol: Re-used plastic mesh we already had so no extra cost :D Good value for money too 8)

Within 2 weeks I should have a garden to be proud of...so excited :D
