phenna_family
Hi Everyone, We have got a plant in our garden which can grow in your borders which are completly chicken proof. They are called hardy geraniums, they are fantastic we have had them in our garden for ages years in fact. The chickens love them, and climb underbeath them and eat all the bugs and slugs, sometimes you think you have lost them and all you can see is the geraniums wobbling and its Doris and Nelly. The geraniums self seed and are really fast growers, the chickens love the leaves but they are so fast growing they look untouched. Have a look at the pictures below. Just thought I would share this info with you all. Claire
Snowy
Lovely Pics Claire! But my chooks have completely destroyed my geraniums - they love them and eat the new young leaves as fast as they grow. Poor plant is still trying though.
