Henergy
Like everything in life I suppose, I bought what I thought was a nice coop with enough run. Its a wooden one with about a 1.5m run. I also bought some Omlet netting and in my inexperience thought that would be fine to let them wander in. But after the jumping escapee chicken, I think I'd be really scared to leave them out if I wasn't sitting with them ! I know that the run is sufficient but it just doesn't sit well with me to keep them there all day. Soooo, a WIR it is then (don't tell DH yet). Have spent much time wandering around this forum (so wish I had before I'd bought the coop !!!!) and some of you have fab WIRs. My question is - can some of you give details of where you got them. Seen a perfect one at Flytes so Fancy but it is very expensive.....need to keep costs down before DH has a blue fit & reminds me the chickens only cost £15 each lol !!! Henslaved
Sounds like the beginnings of Morehens disease
Jools
Try Bay Animal Housing, they're very good value for money. If you or your OH are vaguely handy, you can just order the panels and erect it yourselves to save money.
teacake
we're in the middle of building a WIR and having lots of fun, although I am stressing a bit about the design and sourcing all the materials. will be great to get it done though, and then we can get some chickens!
