craftyhunnypie
Today I had the pleasure of meeting 3 lurchers. 2 were wirey grey & another was smooth coat black & white. I fell in love with one of the wirey haired ones - it kept nudging me for a fuss & staring at me. I rather fell in love with it. I was amazed when the other wirey one leapt over the fence after its toy - they can't half jump high. Claret, I can fully understand how you love this breed! The Dogmother
They are wonderful dogs, but definitely NOT a pedestrian type of dog - they give so much happiness and joy but keep you on your toes depending on the mix, they are very bonded to their human/human family and fiercely loyal. We had a lovely walk yesterday with Ruby and Cyrus; it was great seeing them racing around together. Cyrus is new to us and doesn't have many commands so I have to be careful where I let him off-lead at the moment. Yesterday he disappeared into the woods for 20 minutes and completely ignored our attempts to get him back little monkey.
