fantastic weather and a day spent fr ing

Recommended Posts

At last we have had weather that means my girls and I have been out in the garden all day whilst

we decided we would try and up our fox defences, and so we cut back a privet hedge and some makeshift fencing that is between us and a neighbour, so that we could put in some better fox proof fencing...alas...all was going very well until we realised from the that we were about to erect the new fence with one of our girls in our garden whilst the other girl had wandered into next door's garden and there she was...happily grazing in their veggie patch..(and digging quite a lot of it up  ).....what to do??? well of course all that was needed was a shake of the bucket that holds the meal worms (even though we've run out...I substituted a handful of gravel)...and thankfully she ran back into our garden as if hypercharged....(I feel so bad that I cheated them out of mealworms..but thankfully found a stale biscuit to offer in compensation and she didn't seem to mind)....thank goodness I have trained them to a sound!!

That happened to use while we were putting up a new fence. She nipped through a hole and was in her element! Neighbour came round telling us there was a chicken in her garden  Not complaining, just telling us incase we were worried - she said she could stay there if she wants! A rattle of the meal worm tub did the trick with her too ;) The neighbour got some off her eggs of course :D
