1 Silkie lady Posted March 23, 2011 Share Posted March 23, 2011 My little black cockerel has gone all quiet and seems to have become a bit of a loner but only in the last week. He live with 6 young ladies so should be on top of the world. My husband came home to find his one eye closed. We bathed it and put him in solitary confinement. We have checked him again and he he is getting a build up of mucus ish type stuff in his eye. Any ideas please? I changed the whole shed to wood shavings on Saturday but his hutch is still full of straw. I also used poultry shield and diatom. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

staceychristie Posted March 23, 2011 Share Posted March 23, 2011 Eye infections are awful to deal with yourself, and can cause many other problems, I'd be off to the vet ASAP, as they have far better info and medication.
