I've been working really hard on my WIR plan tonight & its coming together.

Going for 9' by 9' so I can have the wooden coop inside, with clear corrugated roof, kickboards & soil base plus Aubiose.

One of my potential suppliers asks you for a choice of mesh size - does it make a difference ? Assumed they were all the same !!

That wouldn't be Bay Animal Housing would it? If so I'm also considering one of theirs (a custom size), their prices are very good.

I'm going to go for either 1/2 x 1/2 or 1 x 1/2. I believe rats can get through 1 x 1 (not that we have any though, touch wood).

Yes it is Bay housing. I guess smaller mesh the better - I wonder what it looks like from a distance ?

We got our WIR from Bay just over a year ago and it's been great. Much cheaper than elsewhere and really sturdy!

We asked for 1/2 x 1/2 1mm mesh and it's ideal! You can pay extra for thicker mesh but I really don't think thats necessary. I think it looks good both close up and from a distance but more importantly, it's strong!

We are in the process of extending our run and will use exactly the same again.
