Jules.
She was fine yesterday, but today was looking really sorry for herself, & not eating or drinking. I took her to my chicken expert friend & he diagnosed dropsy, so there was nothing we could do for her. She was my first chicken, & we would have had her for 4 years next month. I'm feeling quite sad as there's only Rosa left now of my elderly hens.
Salop Chuck
So sorry to hear about Buzz . Loosing our first hens is especially hard as they have a special place in our hearts. I still miss my original hens Saffie and Ella - especially when I come across one of their feathers in the garden. Hugs and warm wishes. sadietoo
So sorry to hear about Buzz. We get so attached to our girls and after nearly four years she will be even more missed. However, nearly four years is also a goodly amount of time for some lovely memories too, and I am sure you will always think of her and smile. xxxx
gongladosh
Sorry to hear it. Four years is a good innings though, I'm sure she had a marvellous life.
