sadietoo
Has anyone else been following this french "policier" on BBC4...it's gripping ( if somewhat gory) stuff. and after the watershed ......but for the first time I've watched something with subtitles where you are barely aware of them ! Disappointing for my french though...I can barely catch a word they say in the dialogue..!
Ain't Nobody Here
After enjoying The Killing (Danish with subtitles!), we're now watching this avidly . I agree about the French, it's impossible to get more than the odd word . Not sure I approve of their policing methods .
sadietoo
Not sure I approve of their policing methods . No I agree...but I think Gene Hunt would recognise many of the tactics.... Grégory Fitoussi is very easy on the eye though....
clootie
Haven't heard about this! How much have I missed? I loved "The Killing" too
Ain't Nobody Here
I think you've missed 4 already . Don't know if you want to start watching having missed so much, but you could catch up with the Guardian's blog. Google "spiral the butcher of villette" for following episode blogs. This is apparently series 3 but you can watch them independently.
clootie
Ta ANH - if it's as good as "The Killing" I'll watch them all !!
..lay a little egg for me
I've watched the previous two series and am gripped by this one too. I find it amusing to contrast the police methods portrayed in this French detective series with that in Wallander. If I ever get arrested whilst abroad I hope it is in Sweden not France!!!
