Despite the upset of losing a hen suddenly this morning I decided to crack on an assemble my WIR - the panels arrived yesterday.

 

I only called on OH for help a couple of times (and he was very helpful) but other than that I pretty much did it myself. Apart from a blister on my hand as I had to use a manual screwdriver as the electric one lost charge, and feeling the effects of the sun, I feel good that I have done it!

 

It is 12 x 6 x 6. I have put the mesh roof on. I still have the kick boards to add and an onduline roof and then everything else (coops, bedding, tarpaulins, perches etc) but I regard those as the extra fun bits.

Oh and painting it too.

 

Oh well despite all that to do I am still pleased with my days work. Will post photos when it is all done. I just need those Sabelpoot eggs to hatch now else I'll have no one to put in it!
