SallyD
Went out this morning and came back with 3 chickens! A Bluebelle, a Speckledy and what was described to me as a "Red". Any ideas as to what sort this one might be? Anyway they all look lovely and seem happy in their new run.
lizinsa
Ooh that's really exciting! Have you decided on any names yet? Can I also be the first of many to ask for pics!
feemcg
Ooh lovely, I've got those too - my Speckldy is a big fat puffalump . What names have you chosen?
Hen Watch
Congrats on the new chooks. "Red"......Might be a Rhode Island Red (RIR) pure breed or maybe it's a hybrid which is a RIR cross???? Someone on this forum will tell you if you post pics.

SallyD
Thank for all your good wishes! They are so entertaining I have to keep going out to have another look at them! When it got dusk last night they just put themselves to bed in the eglu - easier than children! Decided to call them Bluebelle, Ruby and Jemima. They don't seem to eat much but I've read that it will increase when they start to lay.
Laura & CTB
Lovely names you've chosen - and you're right about the food, when they start to lay..............
