stinkyeggynugget
After much deliberation and loads of sleepless nights, finally picked up 4 new girls today (who'd have thought choosing what breeds to get would be sooooo difficult!!!) Anyway, came home with a black orpy, an lavendar araucana, a speckled leghorn and a salmon faverolle, my existing girls are seething especially when I turfed them out of the WIR for the newbies! All seems to be going rather well, alot bocking and sorting out the new pecking order but nothing major so that made it pimms o'clock for me! Penguin
Yes we introduced two new ones two weeks ago and it's been a stressful time! The two oldies are well cross and to cut a long story short have stopped the new ones from getting into the new Cube at night. So much so that we have had to separate them and are going to try and reintegrate them next week. Luckily we had a VERY understanding buyer for the Classic on ebay who has allowed us to keep it for a few weeks to allow us to do this. They free range together OK with a few pecks, so fingers crossed it will go smoothly next week. Maybe I should have been drinking Pimms - perhaps that would have helped!
