beach chick Posted May 2, 2011 Share Posted May 2, 2011 no, not me.... the weather! we have 30 mile an hour winds at the moment, and it's been like this for the last 3 days. beautiful sunshine tempts you outside, then WHAM! really impossible to do too much, and it is just drying the soil out like you wouldnt believe. still, at least the washing is getting dry I guess... Old Speckled Hen Posted May 3, 2011 Share Posted May 3, 2011 A local hostelry replaced their semi permanent gazebo/marquee/tented edifice...whatever, by the river with a more permanent canvas and scaffolding affair especially for their royal wedding party. The day after the wind took it away across the fields together with most of the village's electricity supply. Road through closed and no power for the whole day.
