Alis girls
Has anyone used a company for this - ES 15 is going on a footie trip but our insurance doesnt cover him if he say breaks a leg playing football etc out there. He has ordinary insurance as do whole family with our credit cards. I know someone will know - this forum is the font of all knowledge
MummyHen
My son went to play rugby in Uganda and had to have specific insurance to cover the rugby and white water rafting. We used a company called Insure and Go - we didn't have to make a claim so can't comment from that perspective but the insurance cost just under £90 and that was Jun 2009, he was 18. Hope this helps

CatieB
the post office do very good single trip insurance and they say they cover most activities so maybe worth asking them too.
freddie
if he is going on an organised sporting trip, the organisers should give you the name of a reputable co; if it's "casual", then pop in Sport insurance to t'internet, and see what comes up. Also make sure it covers third party, in case he squashes anyone else and they sue!
Chucky Mama
Are the people organising the trip not insuring them Usually trip organisers have this covered. I took out back up insurance for all my daughter's 'away from family' trips last year which included sports trips and bog standard school foreign visits but they are always covered by the organisers too. When I looked it up nearly all companies covered things link football and had additional prices for 'extreme sports'.
lillybettybabs
I tend to go with Virgin for sporting holidays, i haven't had to claim as yet but their rates and cover are good and their call centre is 24hrs.
