So the chickens arrived with the Go & run...

 

Very soon we wanted to be closer as they cannot freerange so a WIR was bought and put up.

 

The original plan was to put the Go & run inside...so if we go away or are late they can be safe inside the run....however once in seemed too big so we took apart the run and left the Go inside....

 

So then this is what happened to run....

 

all the sides were put up and attached to the side of the WIR that needed fox proofing (the other side is close to shed and safer due to decking boards etc), the corner pieces have been partly put under the WIR so they can hold up the water and food Go containers, and the top is now protecting seedlings on a raised bed...

 

And of courses I have clips and stuff so that if I need to use it again I can put it back together...

 

So now to find perches etc to put in the WIR....

I've recycled a 'spare' classic run into a rabbit run! closed off the end that would usually be attached to the eglu with weldmesh, and added a hardwood batten along the bottom for rigidity. works a treat, easy to move about.

I need to make some further refinements, like a weldmesh skirt along the back panel, and a bit of tweaking so the sides lie flatter and therefore dont need to be weighted down with bricks, but all in all it's good.
