Duncan08
It is presumably a re-enactment, but still doesent address, how he watched all this happen without doing anything to intervene. I get natures way and all that, but if you had gone to that much trouble surely you would have ditracted the hawk! Our girls went demented the other day shouting at the heron trying to get the fish. I think our girls are pretty brave too!
Margalot
Mollie, this is quite spooky, ! Only yesterday I was talking with my OH about how I remembered watching a wildlife programme with the children (bbc 2 ) i think! when they were little and this was shown. If it wasnt this it was something very similar. I remember my daughter who was about 6 at the time was so upset about the hen, but then when she saw she was fine and had survived the hawk attack. This was way before we got our chickens and it has always stuck in my mind. I was going to try to look it up on google today to see if I could find the clip and then browsing through the posts saw your post! Just cant belive how coincidental that is we were sat eating dinner at around 3pm when we were talking about it. You must have been telpathically sending out mother hen vibes!!! Spooky eh?
