Installing Indoor Cat Tree

Hi everyone... I have just been outside to give a customer her cat back and Tallulah is sort of flat on the floor but eating the grass around her?

I'm not sure if she is ill or perhaps just enjoying the evening sunshine? [hope it is the latter] she did get up a bit reluctantly and mooched off with the other two.

Is it usual for chickens to lie down?

Yes, they love stretching out in the sun or in a dust bath or flower bed. So long as she got up she is fine. Just probably a little disgruntled at being disturbed

I thought my chooks were ill when I first saw them do it but when you watch them wriggle with pleasure when sunbathing or having a mudbath its really funny

Phew! Thank goodness for that. ....She seems fine again now so I'm sure your right.

Its scary being new to chickens as I am constantly worrying about odd/strange behaviour which then turns out to be "normal for chickens" lol
