Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Hello,

 

Two of my three hens have started laying and the third started crouching yesterday. She also started hunching a bit - her tail goes down and she looks like she's straining a bit. Is it possible this is just because she's trying to lay her first egg? She's very flighty and I haven't picked her up but I did stealth behind her for a while until she pooped so I could see her vent It looks fine, normal flesh-coloured, no dirty feathers or cuts.

 

Is this anything to worry about, or is she just brewing up an egg?

I'd say getting ready to lay but keep an eye on her. Hope for some good news soon

There was evidence of a softie in the run tonight (just the membrane, I guess they ate the rest ) and she isn't hunching any more. Looks like she'll be laying soon
