jennym Posted June 27, 2011 Share Posted June 27, 2011 Hello, Two of my three hens have started laying and the third started crouching yesterday. She also started hunching a bit - her tail goes down and she looks like she's straining a bit. Is it possible this is just because she's trying to lay her first egg? She's very flighty and I haven't picked her up but I did stealth behind her for a while until she pooped so I could see her vent It looks fine, normal flesh-coloured, no dirty feathers or cuts.
