Help - Is my chick a hen or cockerel?

She said they had been sexed by a local man, chicks can be sexed but bantams are hard. they have to squeeze them, so they tend not to do this to bantams.

 

The one i think is female i got at 6 weeks.. so they did think she was female

 

 

It's hard to tell from the webcam as they don't come very close, she might just be further along in development? my GNR has a much larger comb than my PP and she is laying eggs pretty much daily.

Autosexing and sex linked chicks aside (as the one in the pic seems to be neither) the only way to sex early is vent sexing and this is very tricky, trained people make a lot of money from knowing how to do this well although there are others that know a bit and could hazard a guess

 

The chook in the pic than Sam posted above is a male by the looks of it

This is what I mean - at that age unless you're a trained expert - you can't sell chicks 'as hens' surely?
