Amongst my lovely ladies I have 2 white stars Winnie and Lucy, both brilliant characters. Just been to the nest box and found 3 white eggs (none of my other girls lay white eggs). My question is can they lay more than one egg a day, they are so delicate and small and the eggs are well into the 60g range it seems amazing! Am I being stupid asking this question?

They do,as a breed,lay a whopping great big egg

It is also not uncommon to get more than one egg a day,especially if they are young hens & settling into their laying routine.

 

White Stars are great hens & super layers - I always have one in my flock
