Julia W
I have just replaced my four deceased girls with 6 more in May. They started laying in June which was a bonus because I was told they wouldn't probably start laying until late August early September. I wasn't getting 6 eggs a day to start with but now I am getting 5 and sometimes 6 a day. I weigh all my eggs just out of interest and to date the biggest egg I've had has been 84g. Mind you, these girls have a record to beat, one of my girls from my last four chickens laid one weighing a whopping 109g, I bet that made her eyes water. Can any one beat that? I auctioned it at our local pub and it raised £5 for the RNLI so not bad eh!

Julia W
My biggest is 88g That's still a huge egg, it's so exciting when you find a really big one in the nesting box isn't it.
