Mercedes55 Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 I've been trying to change my signature on here for ages as we have lost one hen and now have 4 new ones. However no matter what I do it keeps telling me I have 'too many smilies'. Even when I just move my existing signature around it says the same, yet I don't add any extra smilies if I just swap things around. The forum takes up so much space and massive signatures use up more pages.....As Omlet have to pay, I think they altered things to make it cheaper for them... gongladosh Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 Part of the problem is the lengths of the shortcuts for smilies - they're pretty long and it's those characters that are stored as part of your signature (rather than the icons themselves). Given that the limit seems a little punitive these days, perhaps the icons could be renamed to something shorter? For example 'beehaus red' could be 'br'. I'll bet this opens up a can of worms...
