Name a rose

Recommended Posts

It's my Nana's 90th this year and I'd like to get her a rose plant named for her. She's not very mobile so can't really do the gardening anymore but has a lovely little walled courtyard where she watches the birds and other plants through her window so I thought a fully grown plant I could plant-out for her to admire would be a good idea. But all the 'name a rose' gift sets I've found on-line contain rose seeds. Seeds may take ages to grow into something worth admiring, plus she lives in a tiny little 1 bed cottage so has no spare room (All window sills have great grandchildren's photos on them!)

My OH and I have always given her a knickname of 'trouble' as she always has a cheeky glint in her eye so the name I thought could be good is 'Brenda's Trouble'

Does anyone know of anywhere that enables me to still name a rose but to receive an actual plant instead of seeds?

Oh Snowy well done! That's exactly what I'm after.

Brilliant.

Will let you know how I get on.

My Aunt has just told me she's organised a party a few days before her birthday but my OH and I are at a wedding in Wales that day. Totally gutted we'll miss it. We can't cancel as the hotel is booked, table plan set etc. So we'll pop by between her many visitors on her actual birthday. (She's got lots of family. 6 children plus their partners, 16 grandchildren plus partners and 17 great grandchildren + one on the way) so she'll be busy! Told you she's 'Trouble'!
