Blossom is looking down in the dumps

Recommended Posts

Sorry all, i havent been on here in a while - wedding forum is taking my omlet time up

Blossom is looking quite down, today when the hens were being let out she strolled out the run 10 minutes later, usually all of them are trying to grate themselves (like cheese!) through the run!

So i have done a health check, the only thing i have felt is her chest bone is stuck out a bit more, but the other hens wouldnt let me feel them as they were too busy with the apple tree, so unsure if that is a significant. So I have put her in the run all day on her own - 6 hours. She has drank a bit and eaten but mainly slept, i put in a garlic mixture, she hasnt really bothered with that, their water has garlic in though so hopefully that might help her.She hasnt laid an egg, which is a bit unusual but blossom can be a "ill do it when i want" layer. they have all been wormed a couple of weeks ago. I have also noticed that earlier she did a clear poo, thinking it might be an egg white (which could explain it) i ran out but couldnt see anything :? i have tried to see in the run for new poos and how they look, but nothing jumps out at me. Her crop doesnt seem full, so i dont know if she has eaten much at all, that why i put her in the run on her own so she could feed and drink at her own pace without the other shoving her out the way, i put the rest of the glubs and grugs on the outside for the others though. Any advice would be great and ive tried to give as much info as possible. Tomorrow about 9am will be 24hours since these symptoms. At the minute she is looking to go into the cube for the night but im not sure shes not got enough energy to get up the ladders, i will post when i see more!
