Mrs Summers not well - ideas

Recommended Posts

Mrs Summers an ex-bat had antibiotics about a month ago as she was a bit listless although eating and drinking, she picked up within a day and was fine until now. She is displaying the same symptoms today, standing around and then having a wander and is eating she dived for the spaghetti earlier :D ) - she does feel a bit squishy in her tummy. I am collecting more antibiotics in the morning as they have no appointments and I have to work in the afternoon (I can take her on Sunday if no improvement), does it sound like peritonitis ? My vet said antibiotics will help for now -if it is but what about long term prognosis - she will be 2 1/2 in September (guess).

I've just done a search and she doesn't have green poo or waddling but is red underneath (she pulls her own feathers out :( ).

My ex batt Lily had peritonitis on and off for about six months. She would have days when she stood around not doing much but still eating and drinking and would run for treats. She was three years old. If it is peritonitis the long term prognosis isn't good. lily had good days and bad days and seemed fairly well in herself most of the time. It was when the bad days started to outnumber the good days that I had her PTS. Hopefully the antibiotics will help Mrs Summers.
