Cheryl Posted August 24, 2011 Share Posted August 24, 2011 (edited) I have a young hen (a Naked Neck), and a few times I have looked through the pen and saw her looking as if she had died, I retreive her and she perks up, is a bit sleepy for a while, and then minutes later is strong enough to run away! Today I put her in a separate pen, on her own and she's looking fine.. I am totally baffled by this, any ideas?.. This is a video I took about 10 minutes ago.. excuse the blue hair I do this to differentiate my baldies if I need to watch them as they all look so similar it's just a dab of waterbased hobby paint.. Cheryl Posted August 24, 2011 Author Share Posted August 24, 2011 (edited) You mean a kind of fainting?.. yes that's what it seems like to be honest. when my other birds are sunbathing they spread a wing and kind of recline, this is just like its fallen over and died, it's remarkable.. but very alarming.. Can rescue remedies be given to poultry or would the alcohol carrier be a problem? because I have been tempted a few times ..
