nannyhenny
Can anyone advise when we will need to worm our ladies? We have had three Omlet hens for a month now, all well and laying. Some books say you need to worm every month, others only twice a year and one said only once a year!

Chucky Mama
between two and four times a year is fine with Flubenvet
Purplemaniacs
I worm mine about every four months with flubenvet mixed into the food, you feed the medicated food for one week. When we had our original Omlet girls I think I wormed them after about two months using the grape method which is now not the recommended way. If you search the forum there are lots of posts on Flubenvetting your chooks Chrissie
nannyhenny
Thanks for advice on how often to worm. Everyone has mentioned Flubenvet. Is Verm-X better/worse? has anyone used it?
Mercedes55
I think Verm-X is more of a herbal kind of remedy although quite honestly I wouldn't use it as I think you need to use a proper worming medication, which would be Flubenvet.
