Brooding hen has chicks in nesting box

Daisy and Violet are interested in the nesting box anymore, and the new girls have started to even sleep in the cube! so even if they are in there all night they still arent interested!! whooo

I cant work out if my chicken Tilly is broody or not?!

For the last couple of days she has been spending a few hours at a time in the nesting box, she still seems to be laying and eating etc okay. However for the last few months she has been loosing feathers on her chest and head?

Any ideas anyone?

If she is laying she is not broody, maybe coming into moult or just losing feathers where they rub against the bars ?

Seems to have got worse now, for three weeks she has been not laying and staying in the nesting box unless I shove her out. Each morning I have been taking her out and shutting the door, she goes in if I re-open it but if it stays shut she seems alright and is scratching around, eating and drinking. She is still loosing alot of feathers and keeps making high pitched squawks.

Should I just continue taking her out until she stops, or is there any other quicker method?

I'd use a broody cage.

What exactly do I have to do for that, what sort of cage do you recommend and where should I put it?
