How old do chicks need to be to sleep in the eglu. Mine are 3 and a half weeks old is this old enough

They are really happy in there run how old do they need to be before they can sleep in the eglu Henny Penny Millie

6-8 weeks.

I have 16 chicks sleeping in an eglu at the moment - they are 4 weeks old tomorrow and theres plenty of room as they all huddle together. I leave the roosting bars out till 6 weeks though. I've got them sleeping on hemcore this time - the last couple of hatches were on straw but it got quite damp.

At one point with the last hatch, I went out to check they'd all gone to bed and all 10 were in the nest box sleeping .
