soapdragon
Ummmm ..... maybe I am being thick but how DO you wash a waterproof sheet Just bought one and made me wonder!!!!!!!!!!? Yes, I know you put it in the machine etc but surely a washable waterproof sheet is a contradiction in terms...there must be loads more out there! bluekarin
The ones I have used for the kids when they were younger had a fabric top and plastic backing with some padding in between, which I washed in the washing machine. The only thing you have to watch out for is the collection of water pooling on the plastic side. I was caught a few times when hanging them up on my airer indoors during the winter months and wondering what was leaking as I walked up or down the stairs There should be a label on the ones you've got to tell you how best to wash them. CatieB
I put mine in the washing machine (I presume because it said I could) but you do have to be aware that it will have a lot of water still on it when you take it out of the machine, I take a corner out gingerly and pull out slowly so the excess water runs back into the machine. chickencam
I always put the children's waterproof sheets in the washing machine when they were small and usually gave them an extra spin after rearranging them in the machine, this got rid of most of the collected water.
