We have decided to bury his ashes near to the bubble pond & I am going to plant a cat mint there too. Its a nice plant anyhow,& will look good in that spot.

I have found a lady who hand carves pebbles too,so am probably going to commission one of those,which will look great next to the pebbles in the bubble pond.

 

A portrait is a lovely idea,but I can't even look at photos of him at the moment without blubbing. VERY embarrassing in Tesco......I have a photo of him in my purse

 

I am even vaguely thinking of getting a very tiny chilli pepper tattoo somewhere very discreet (don't tell the husband!),just as a little personal reminder.

I didn't sleep for a few days when I lost a very special cat a few years ago, the tattoo is a great idea - 2 friends of mine decided to get tattoos in Brighton on a weekend away last March. We completely chickened out when sober

Oh no, I'm so so sorry to read this, not on the forum as much as I used to be. I remember seeing your lovely photos of Chilli, and how he was so like my Hakan. I can't really find the words to say how very sad I am for you.

I think if I lost one of my cats I'd have them cremated, but would want to keep the ashes so if I ever moved I could take them with me. I like the idea of scattering a small amount though in their favourite bit of the garden, and perhaps having some lights there, as somebody else suggested.
