and got my hens! An Australorp bantam (Pippin), a white Old English Game (Boki-Boki (who chose us!) and a partridge Wyandotte (Henrietta Peck). They are sorting themselves out now as the Australorp is pecking the OEG. I'm a bit scared to be honest and am a bit wary of them! They are quite quiet but the OEG is the most chatty so I hope the neighbours appreciate this! Did anyone else feel a bit sick and nervous when they first got theirs?

Definitely . The nerves soon subside when you realise they know what they're supposed to do, even if we don't at first .

Yes I will be putting up some photos soon. Is it normal for one to get pecked a lot. I feel really bad for her. Will it get better when they get used to each other?

I was exactly the same , three months ago I put a post on here panicing as when my girls came towards me I froze

Everyone on here was so helpful with their tips and now 3 months on I would not change my girls for the world and I don't freeze , ,I pick them up , talk to them all the time and wonder why I was so wary of them ...You will love them .

It will get better but you'll need to keep an eye open for any injuries, especially if they bleed as then they will probably really have a go .

well to my amazement they all put themselves to bed at dusk which made my job easier! No fighting so hopefully a good sign!
