sadietoo
Happy day indeed...free-ranging together today my new girls finally became one flock! My two little peepers (dark brahmas, Mabel and Lucie) decided that Attie the Orpie is actually ok, and Pansy my big old girl is also quite kindly...consequently everyone spent the day going in and out every one's houses, sharing everyone's food, sitting down together and generally being polite. At bedtime tonight we left the cube run door (where Pansy and Attie have been living) open, and also the eglu run door open (where the peepers have been living) to see where people would choose to put themselves to bed. Pansy and Attie put themselves to bed in the cube as can only be expected for good girls like them...the peepers on the other hand, decided tonight would be the night to roost on top of the eglu run...we thought not, and as things have gone so well, I popped them in the egg port of the cube, but we have left the cube door open so that they can get out into the run in the morning if there is any unpleasantness...hopefully not... I hate introductions hopefully they are now over....now where is that fingers crossed smiley?

dancing cloud
Always good when the slow and steady approach works and lovely when they eventually play nicely together . My Mistletoe used to be the bottom of the pecking order and is now inseparable from her best friend Sky top-chook (but Alice and Angel are not allowed to join their huddle!)
