TutuTallulah
It really is so annoying how I can cook some things well but in other areas I really struggle. It is our local village show next Sunday, so OH is entering home grown vegetables, photographs etc and I am entering the 'home cooking section'. I would really like to enter something in each category but whilst I am fine at pastry, scones etc some categories are a nightmare! The categories are: Scones - ok, will need to bake in the morning Favourite cake - ok here, Apple and Almond cake Jam, jelly, lemon curd - ok here with the lemon curd. I cannot make jam to save my life! Marmalade (any type) - oh oh, not sure about this one.... Chutney or pickle - Aaarrrggghh...nooooooo Home made drink - ??? Will some of the rum from my Rumtopf be ok? Been maturing about 6 weeks, tastes of summer fruits. Loaf of bread - another difficult one for me. Don't think it would be a good idea to use the bread maker, blade holes in the bottom will give it away Now I have typed the list I think I have talked myself out of entering all the catergories Does anyone else have things that they are pretty good at but totally rubbish at others?
