BarbaraJ
I'm looking for some lovely baby patterns , something a bit different for a average skilled knitter. I would like a nice blanket pattern, can anyone point me towards any nice books or patterns please? I would also like to use cotton yarn as DD(whose expecting) and partners son had sensitive skin and couldn't wear acrylic clothes. Have looked at bamboo yarn and alpaca too, has anyone used these for baby clothes?
Olly
Not done any knitting for ages, but have you looked at www.ravelry.com? You have to register, but there are lots of free patterns on there, and also if you click on the 'projects' tab you can see the colours/yarn types that other people have used to make the patterns up, I find that really inspiring because they can look so different. craftyhunnypie
I'm using Sirdar Snuggly Smiley Stripes at the moment to knit a little ballerina cross over cardi for my niece to be. Lovely to knit with, plus entertaining wondering what colour is coming next. Emma.x

Plum
I'm using Sirdar babybamboo at the moment for a crochet blanket. It's lovely and soft and the thread doesn't split or go fuzzy. The colours are gorgeous. So yes would recommend it
