So I wondered if anybody could offer any helpful thoughts about my digital tv. I got a (cheapish) digi box about 6 months ago. It was fine for a while but its getting increasinly worse to the extent that I can hardly watch it now. It just jumps and sticks and freezes ALL the time. I keep going to the menu and re-tuning it, but it doesn't get any better. Does anybody know what might be the problem please. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It may be that I re-tuned the tv rather than anything else. I used the menu button on my tv remote and then went into automatic re-tune". Tv used to be so straightforward!! laurmurf Posted September 18, 2011 Share Posted September 18, 2011 sounds like you've retuned the telly instead of the digibox, HEN. The aerial connection should go into the digibox then that is connected to the telly. Is there a remote for the digibox? or a 'set up' button? you can retune the digibox through that. When the digital signal changed i had to retune both so that the digibox (which is also a hard drive recorder) would record the same channel as the telly.
