frogprincess
Hello, I bought a bag of Marriages feed with Flubenvet, and, having given it to my hens for a week, I have about 3/4 of the bag left. I am loathe to throw it away, but it won't keep until next year and so I was wondering what to do with it. I had thought about offering it for collection on this forum, or on Freecycle, but I am unsure if this is all right, since I had to fill in a form to get the feed and I don't want to fall foul (sorry) of licencing rules. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.
squiffs
You can't share the feed as it's medicated and needs a prescription or to be given by a vet/other licensed vendor. You'll have to throw it away I'm afraid
Snowy
How long is the expiry date? Couldn't you give it again in 3 months then again in 6 months? At least that would use up some more
JanTheDiver
I live near Marriages so I actually collect it from there. When I collected my first 10kg bag the dispenser said that the bag lasts three months before the Flubenvet wears off. She said to give the girls a dose when I picked it up then in two months give them another dose then once the three months was up just use what was left as normal feed as the Flubenvet would not be effective after that time. I hope this helps. Jan
The Dogmother
I'd keep it - I buy a 10kg bag at a time and it lasts for 2 doses, 3 months apart.
