craftyhunnypie
I want to use up a load of eggs & am planning on making some sponge traybakes with buttercream on the top. Sort of batch baking. Can I freeze these once iced? ~If so can I just wrap in cling & shove in freezer? Thanks.. Emma.x
Olly
I'd freeze them un-iced, they'll be easier to store and icing doesn't take long.
clucker1
A couple of years ago I made a huge chocolate birthday cake for my daughter who was then 11. I put chocolate butter icing on it and the girls as party of the party decorated it themselves with LOADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! of jelly babys, jelly sweets including haribos. It was far too much for everyone to eat over a few days so I chopped it in half and put it in the freezer. To my astonishment, when I got it out a month or so later it was absolutely fine and you would never have been able to tell it had been in the freezer. Good luck!
