Donkey walking in France

Recommended Posts

I have no personal knowledge but it sounds amazing. I googled it & saw a couple of articles by people who had done it. The hotels you stop at provide a field and food etc. It's apparently a good way of meeting people, OH read a book about someone doing a trek with a donkey and it was a really positive experience. I'll try to remember the title.

Yes, most places seem to provide you with a map of a set circuit for the number of days you want to walk with stops along the way. Most offer the choice of either B&Bs or camping (which is obviously much cheaper but perhaps a bit more hassle.) I would be interested in the title of the book, thanks patsylabrador.

having heard OH's tales re his dads donkeys in Cyprus I would stay well clear. His uncles donkey escaped and ran down to next village and impregnated all the lady donkeys - mass riot when owners found out

 Doesn't surprise me. I was brought up in Blackpool and used to work every summer with beach donkeys. I absolutely loved it and have always wanted to do this type of trip but OH and DS were never keen. Now DS is old enough to do his own thing, OH has said ok

Hi Guys,

Great site. I just joined and thought I'd share this info with you as I went donkey trekking on ther Robert Louis Trail last September. It was such a fun experience. They'll tailor something for you if you want, but me, hubby and the two kids did this tour.

Salut!

Milli

Thank you for the info Milli and welcome to the site :D
