pips_pekins
Has anyone done this type of trip in France? Would you recommend it? I am looking to do something different but with quite a small budget. I thought that if we did this and camped along the way it would keep the costs relatively low. Any thoughts? Tutti Frutti
WOW! Sounds lovely, can I come?!!! Never heard of it before though so can't help, sorry
patsylabrador
I have no personal knowledge but it sounds amazing. I googled it & saw a couple of articles by people who had done it. The hotels you stop at provide a field and food etc. It's apparently a good way of meeting people, OH read a book about someone doing a trek with a donkey and it was a really positive experience. I'll try to remember the title.
Alis girls
having heard OH's tales re his dads donkeys in Cyprus I would stay well clear. His uncles donkey escaped and ran down to next village and impregnated all the lady donkeys - mass riot when owners found out
pips_pekins
WOW! Sounds lovely, can I come?!!! Absolutely, the more the merrier The hotels you stop at provide a field and food etc. It's apparently a good way of meeting people, OH read a book about someone doing a trek with a donkey and it was a really positive experience. I'll try to remember the title. Yes, most places seem to provide you with a map of a set circuit for the number of days you want to walk with stops along the way. Most offer the choice of either B&Bs or camping (which is obviously much cheaper but perhaps a bit more hassle.) I would be interested in the title of the book, thanks patsylabrador. having heard OH's tales re his dads donkeys in Cyprus I would stay well clear. His uncles donkey escaped and ran down to next village and impregnated all the lady donkeys - mass riot when owners found out Doesn't surprise me. I was brought up in Blackpool and used to work every summer with beach donkeys. I absolutely loved it and have always wanted to do this type of trip but OH and DS were never keen. Now DS is old enough to do his own thing, OH has said ok
