chickencam
Has anyone tried this and how does it fare compared with Aubiose?
Redwing
Cardboard beddings come in different formats (some are just chopped up cardboard and some are a bit like flocking, I'm not sure which that one is I've tried a few different ones and they have all been rubbish either being too rigid and the chooks wouldnt go near the sharp bits or getting so damp and smelly that I had to scoop it all out again
chickencam
Thanks for that, this is what I thought might be the problem. It is the one that Omlet sell in their shop. I think I will be taking a drive up the road for my usual Aubiose. I have just noticed you hen numbers at the moment no wonder you are
chicken bark
I've used a chopped up cardboard one and it wasn't very absorbent. A shame really.
Angie
I don't like it is gets damp and wet very quickly and makes an awful mess, not even in the nest box the girls won't sit on it.
